Hey y'all!
Boaz and Ruth, what a cute pair!!
Two things we can learn from this passage are that one, the Christian life always involves others the Lord wants us to help others in any way we can (2:2,17-18) and secondly , God gives us incredible blessings when we're totally committed to him in all we think, do, or say (4:13-16).
Ruth gets herself a job. Way to take initiative! Ruth could have wasted a lot of time sitting around waiting for God. Instead, she actively works with him. Ruth meets Boaz and to me the whole scene in 2: 19-23 is a matter of "coincidence or not" God is at work in your life even when you can't see him. Everything he sends your way is for a purpose. There are no coincidences for God's children.
**** Cute little Fact: Ruth call Boaz a Kinsman redeemer. Do you know what that is? Kinsman = family, Redeemer= guardian/ defender/ protector. Ruth's kinsman redeemer was Boaz and ours is Jesus.
Ruth teaches us that we should trust God in hard times, in lonely moments, in disappointments and in your grief just as he did for Naomi.
Thoughts?
Anne :)
