DAY 12: Moses and the People of Israel Begging for Mercy: Exodus 32: 1-14, Numbers 12

Happy Wednesday! The week is almost over WOOT WOOT!!!

"Moses! Let my people Go! No!"
Aaron made the golden calf idol to satisfy the Israelites when Moses went to Mount Sinai. It seem like whenever people think they can confine God to a physical form, they end up creating idols instead. Rather than trying to mold God fit your ideas, allow God to transform you to be more like him.

In Numbers 12, we see another sibling rivalry, jealously going on. Miriam and Aaron seem to be jealous of Abraham's relationship with the Lord. They didn't like that he married a foreigner, and their pride was hurt, Moses was the youngest in his family.

Maybe you have a sister or friend who always look amazing, dates the best guys, says the funniest things, and wins every award (Joy, I know I just came into your mind jk jk). You feel like you're forever in her shadow- and frankly it would be nice to feel the sun on your face for a change! How do you handle it? Do you take Miriam's approach and tear her down so you can feel better about yourself? "It's about to be a what? Girlfight!" Clearly, this does not go over so well with God. He wants us to be humble like Moses. God will give you a time to shine; just jeep trusting him!

Muchos Love!
Anne :)
