In this first chapter of 1 Samuel we see an overlaying theme of prayer and that God expects us to follow through on what we say. Only full commitment is good for him, which is seen in (1:10-11,24-28).How do you handle a crisis? Do you get on your cell phone and talk it over (and over, and over) with a friend? Or do you try to internalize it and try to solve it on your own? Guess it depends on the situation, right?
Hannah had a big problem!!! She wanted a child but could not have one. bahahahahaha my Bible says "she could have talked it over with a friend on the tabernacle pay phone. But she knew that would not solve anything." But talking it over with the right friend would, if that friend was God.
